Build to Fail, Fail to Build

A forum member posts amusing photos as his landlord erects the shoddiest shed known to man. The dry commentary is quite amusing. There's even a few time-lapse videos to boot.

The first page shows the initial photographs. The follow-up photos are on page 5, page 7, and page 10. The final, glorious shed is on page 17.

In Long Beach, seismologists set up an array of seismographs about 330 feet apart to record detailed readings that would yield unparalleled insight into the propagation of earthquake waves. The video they generated from the data is mesmerizing.

Massive Steel Erection

Zhang Yue, founder and chairman of Broad Sustainable Building, is not a particularly humble man. A humble man would not have erected, on his firm’s corporate campus in the Chinese province of Hunan, a classical palace and a 130-foot replica of an Egyptian pyramid. A humble man, for that matter, would not have redirected Broad from its core business—manufacturing industrial air-conditioning units—to invent a new method of building skyscrapers. And a humble man certainly wouldn’t be putting up those skyscrapers at a pace never achieved in history.

Fly the Friendly Skies

This footage was shot over 1 year of flying with a Sony HD Handycam and GOPRO Hero. The footage was shot entirely by pilots, no combat camera personnel were used. Footage includes flying and aircraft from both the 67FS "Fighting Cocks" and the 44FS "Vampire Bats", entirely on location at Kadena AB, Japan. Most of the over water footage was filmed while we were raging like demons from hell in the skies over the Pacific Ocean like our brothers did 70 years before us.

The Exact Moment When...

On this morning, the men were relaxed and joking around as they cleaned their area from a tank attack the day before. That time, they had been prepared and the tank had fired too short. This time, the assault came with little warning.

Photographer catches the exact moment a tank shell hits a group of Syrian rebels. (Some folks might find this disturbing.)
